8 Months

Jordyn is now 8 months old! I can't believe how fast time has gone by. She is all over the place and is always getting into everything. Not only is she getting into everything, but it seems like it is all the things she shouldn't be getting into, i.e. the bathroom, and any pair of shoes she can find! It seems as though she has grown up a lot in the past month and she has learned many new things.

She loves her Little Einstein's Signing movie.

She now has 7 teeth, and thinks biting mommy is HILARIOUS!

She can stand up on things, this has made nap-time and bath-time very interesting.

She has started to wave!

Yesterday she started eating finger foods.

When daddy comes home she crawls to the door FAST and climbs up his legs.

She reaches for me when she wants to be held.

She says "mama"

She is TERRIFIED of her Eyore toy!

In the past few days she has developed the worse cry I have ever heard (this is due to the fact that she doesn't want to take naps, she just wants to STAND in her crib)!

We love this girl so much and can't imagine life without her!

Get Ready to Jazzercise

This morning Cory and I were getting ready to work out and Cory decided to put his sweat band on Jordyn. If you need a good aerobics instructor then Jordyn is your girl. She is all business, not to mention she is pretty dang cute!

Here she is with her "game face" as Cory would call it. Her work outs start out pretty tough...

... but after awhile she lossens up and has fun!

Our First Judd Family Adventure

When I was younger my family would ride our bikes to the Maverick gas station by our house. We would get a treat and take it to the park and then ride home. One day as we were on our way home it started pouring rain! My sisters and I started to whine and complain that "this is stupid" or "it is cold"! All the while my mom and dad were yelling "no this is an Olsen family adventure!"
Well we went to an Albuquerque Isotopes baseball game and as the game started it started to rain. Then it started to pour. Cory and I were both soaking wet and we were trying to keep Jordyn as dry as possible. As we were getting wet I thought to myself "this is a Judd family adventure!"
The game was packed with people because Manny Ramierez from the L.A. Dodgers was in town playing. He has been suspended for awhile because he was smoking weed, so he was getting in some warm up games before he went back to the big league. I am not sure that it is a positive thing that so many people were there to see a man who smokes weed but it was fun anyway!

I was worried that Jordyn would get cold and upset in the rain but she LOVED it! She thought it was funny and kept laughing.

When the rain stopped Jordyn was talking and smiling at everyone around us. They all thought she was so cute, and we can't disagree with them!

At the ball park, there is a FUN ZONE where there are games for kids and a playground. We took Jordyn over there and she got to ride on a carousel and daddy got to hit some golf balls.

The sunset was gorgeous that night!
And that folks, was our 1st Judd Family Adventure!

The Aquarium

This past Saturday we went to the Aquarium. It was pretty crowded but we still had a lot of fun. There were a lot of different exhibits with tons of cool fish. We were pretty impressed, considering we live in the desert! We enjoyed spending time as a family. As you walk into the aquarium there is a pond that is covered with lily pads. It was really pretty. Mom and dad you would love it.... which is why you should come visit us;) hint, hint.

There were white, pink, and yellow lillies!

We also found a mommy duck and her ducklings... so cute!!

Daddy and Jordyn in front of the jelly fish. I think they are pretty amazing creatures.

Jordyn and Mommy in front of a huge fish tank!

This picture is kind of dark, but look at how big the sting ray is!

Fun in the Excersaucer

Our friend gave us this excersaucer and Jordyn loves to play in it. It has been pretty hot down here; so one day I poured water in the tray and set her in it. The pictures and video show what happened next...

"Are you ready to see me in action mom?"

Pausing for a refreshing drink.

She was soaking wet!!!

Standing Up!!

Since we have gotten home from Arizona, Jordyn has continued to stand up on things. She thinks she is pretty cool and has quite a bit of confidence in her skills. This confidence has brought many falls and bruises, including one on her forehead! Her favorite things are to stand up by the dvd's and pull all of them off or standing up in her crib. She is all over the place and follows you wherever you go. It is a tough stage, but we are starting to love it!
This is the first time I went into get her and she was standing in her crib. She thought she was pretty funny!
She also likes to help me with the dishes, thank you Jordyn!

Our Love Fern

We planted our first "baby love fern" (name that movie;)!! It sits on our front porch and adds the perfect amount of spunk to our yard.

Jordyn participated by cheering on daddy and eating puffs

Cory tending to our love fern.

I have full confidence that he won't let it die.

A Visit with the Dommers

Since Cory was leaving, and I am a total wuss and didn't want to stay home, Jordyn and I flew to see Bri and her family. I love spending time with them. We do so many fun things and I love just hanging out with Bri.

I brought these little mask making kits for Alyssa and Wyatt. They did a great job and loved them.

Me and my buddy

The babies! Kaleb is three months older than Jordyn and he is standing up and getting ready to walk. Jordyn thought she would follow in his footsteps and decided to start standing up on things.

We went swimming and Jordyn and Alyssa have matching outfits.

We went to Chick-Fil-A and had dinner then let the kids play on the playground. Wyatt was so nice and decided to share his ice cream cone with Kaleb.

The kid likes his dipping sauce.

One day we went took the kids to a candy factory.

They got to help make candy...

... and of course they got to eat it too!

My friend Kimber recently moved to AZ and so her and Gracie met up with us. It was so fun to spend time with them.

Thanks for all the fun times Bri! I am sure we will be back soon enough.

Cory's Trip to Missouri

Cory was able to go to Missouri with his brother Stevie. Stevie will be moving there in August to get his Master's degree. We are so excited for him and wish him the best. Cory had a great time with his brother and enjoyed the male bonding time!

Cory by the water tower!

The boys at one of the many restaurants they ate at. In Cory's words "I have never ate so bad in my life!" But he did say it tasted good.

This is the building on campus where Stevie will be attending classes! Good Luck Stevie!!

My Newest Creation

And here is what Jordyn did to entertain herself while Mommy was in Sewing Land!!
Listen close and you can hear her say "Mama!"
