Four Months

Jordyn is now four months old! We went to the doctor and he said that she is a very strong baby and she is developing perfectly. What a blessing it is to have a strong and healthy baby! Here are her four month stats:

Height: 24 1/4 inches
Weight: 15.0 pounds

Some new things that she is doing include:
  • Rolling from her back to her tummy, she does it very fast! She has rolled from her tummy to her back a handful of times!
  • Sucking on her pointer and middle fingers. They always seem to be in her mouth.
  • She has developed this new little scream that is so cute! She usually does it when she is playing with her daddy.
  • She has moved out of our room and into her own bedroom.
  • She is eating rice cereal!

Here is our sweet girl at four months!

Our trip to Arizona

One day I was playing on the computer when I found flights from Albuquerque to Phoenix for $45 each way. Because I am one who can't pass up a good deal, Jordyn and I flew to Phoenix to play with Bri and her family. It was Jordyn's first plane ride and she did amazing! Everyone around me was amazed that she was so content; it did help that the flight was only one hour.

We had so much fun in the nice warm weather. We took the kids to the park, went to Touch the Truck show where the kids got to see fire trucks, buses, tractors, etc. We hung out around the house and played in the backyard.

Here is Alyssa and Wyatt playing on a tractor!

Kaleb and Jordyn just hanging out at the park!
Wyatt was absolutely fascinated with Jordyn. He loved playing with her and was always telling us "Joryn is laughing!" One morning I woke up to him peeking in at Jordyn and he turned to me and said "Joryn is laughing again!" It was so cute to watch him with her. Every now and then we would catch him giving her a kiss.

Here are the two little buddies!
Kaleb was nice enough to let Jordyn play in his exersaucer. She loved it!
I am so mad that I didn't take more pictures while we were there but I do have a little bit of an excuse. Most of our time was occupied making this:

My sister Bri and I made these puppets and puppet theater for our little girls. It was a lot of fun! Bri taught my how to sew and now I have a couple projects in mind. I am so excited when Jordyn will be old enough to put on puppet shows. I know Cory will put on some AMAZING and very ENTERTAINING shows!

Our Love Day

We had a lovely Valentine's Day! The three of us celebrated Friday night with dinner at Olive Garden. When we came home Cory had some suprises for Jordyn and I. He got me some shampoo and conditioner that I have been wanting, a yoga DVD (it is SO hard!), some flowers, and he got Jordyn a cute little onesie.
Grandma and Grandpa Olsen sent Jordyn this darling Valentine's outfit, some books, suckers, and a rattle. We dressed Jordyn up and had a photo shoot. She looks SO cute!

On Valentine's morning Jordyn and I got up and made Cory some muffins and cut up some fresh fruit. Later that day my little sister and her fiance came to spend the weekend with us! We went to PF Chang's at 4:30 and they said the wait was an hour and forty five minutes; we didn't believe them so we decided we would wait. We waited too long and we were going to miss our movie, so we ended up eating a romantic dinner at Wendy's! Then we went to see He's Just Not that Into You; the movie wasn't anything spectacular.

Here is our yummy breakfast!

Throughout the weekend we hung out, ate lots, played games, and had a lot of fun! We are so glad that Ali and Gary came to visit. We can't wait to see you again! We are so excited for you guys to get married... especially because we get to go to Hawaii ;)

Ali and Gary read Jordyn her bedtime stories one night.

The Monday before Valentine's we had an FHE on families. We learned that love is what holds a family together and with love we can get through anything. Our activity for the week was a Wall of Love. Every day we would write something that we loved about someone in our family on the back of a heart and put it on the wall. It was really fun!

Albuquerque Thunderbirds

Cory has started two new internships this semester. One is at the University of New Mexico working with the NCAA Compliance Office. He is the FIRST intern they have ever had. He is meeting some great people and gaining awesome experience. His second internship is for the Albuquerque Thunderbirds. They are the D-League team for the NBA. The best part about this intern is that Jordyn and I get to go to the games and hang out with him! He had his first games last weekend so we got to see Daddy in ACTION!
For the first half of the game he video tapes the game!
Here is the stadium!

This is what Jordyn did to entertain herself at the game! She loves to play with her rattle and she loves to drool! She also wore her Addias track suit and shoes just to feel a little sporty at the game.

Mad Jordyn

Jordyn and I were laying on a blanket today playing with her toys and she started screaming. It was SO funny because every time I asked "are you mad?" she would scream. She also rolled over three time while we were playing. It is so fun watching her grow and learn new things. We love our little Jordyn Bug!

For the Grandparents

Here are some cute pictures and videos of Jordyn. She looks so big today! She is wearing her first outfit that isn't just a onesie and pants... it is a real big kid t-shirt. Jordyn is getting to such a fun stage where she can play with toys and interact with us! We are having a blast with our little girl. Hope the grandparents enjoy these, they will have to be enough until we come to visit, which will be very soon (we hope)! We miss you like CRAZY!
We took Jordyn to her two month appoinment on Tuesday (yes she is three months, but we were in Utah). Here are her stats:
Weight 13.2 lbs
Height 23 inches

She loves to hear our tongues click!

BEWARE: Spit up!

You will have to turn your head for this one!
