Ten Years Ago:
I was 12 years old which puts me in 6th or 7th grade! I probably thought I was way cooler than I really was.
Five Places I have lived:
Sad to say, but I only have 4!
Lindon, UT
London, England
Sandy, UT (1st Apartment)
Sandy, UT (2nd Appartment)
I am sure within the next three years this list will grow quite a bit!
3 Bad Habits:
Hmmmm................ This is a hard one, I am sure Cory could tell you several!
1. Washing and drying the laundry but not actually folding it and putting it away.
2. Looking at blogs. . . seriously it needs to stop!
3. Getting mad over stupid little things.
Places you have worked:
Hahaha... there are only two!
1. Pizza Factory in Lindon.
2. Ridgeline Elementary, kindergarten teacher.
5 things you don't know about me:
1. I absolutely hate animals. Mark my words we will never be a family that has animals, unless it is a couple fish in a fish tank.
2. I love kids! I guess that is kind of obvious from teaching kindergarten. But I really enjoy listening to all the things that they say. They never hold back the truth.
3. I love to travel, especially with my husband. Since we have been married we have been to Boston, MA., Seattle, WA., and Jackson, Tenn. all of which I have never been to.
4. I guess you could say that I am a home body. I love to be at home and spend time with Cory. Currently this doesn't happen very much, but we look forward to the day that it will.
5. I dream of opening a preschool. When we build a house I would love to build a one room school house in our backyard and teach preschool out of it.
That is it! Hope you enjoyed:)

Trapped at school for 30 hours!!
Wednesday, February 13, 2007 I was almost done with a long day of teaching school. At about 3:20, ten minutes before the kids get out of schol, I look outside and see that it is snowing AGAIN! We finished cleaning up and I sent my students out to their buses. Fifteen minutes late our principal gets on the intercom and tells all the teachers that they need to leave the school asap because the weather is getting worse. By the time I had packed up all my stuff to leave, the snow storm was so bad that we had no choice but to stay. It was snowing so hard that you couldn't see anything but white, and the winds were blowing 75 mph.
4:30 rolls around and they announce that all eight of our school buses never made it home and that the buses were all stuck. The buses were trying to turn around and get the kids back to the school. The students started trickling in two hours later at 6:30. My students were in my classroom doing anything and everything they wanted. Painting, dancing, playing with playdough, reading, you name it. My classroom was a tornado!
At about 9:30 we still had two buses full of kids that were still stuck (let me remind you that they had now been in the bus for six hours). The police brought kids by the car load back to the school while the other bus was sent to a near by church. By this time parents had brought TONS of food, sleeping bags, and blankets! Most of the kids thought that it was pretty cool, because they made it on the news and they got to sleepover at the school. As for me, I didn't think it was cool that at 12:00 AM the district was still telling us that we would have to wake up and teach school. After much complaining by teachers the district decided to cancel school the following day. And I finally made it home around 10:00 A.M. on Valentine's Day! All I can say is that it was an adventure that most won't ever experience.
P.S. For everyone who has ever wondered if the floors at an Elementary School are comfortable to sleep on, the answer is no! I got about an hour of sleep.

Our Beloved Prophet

I was deeply saddened to hear the news about President Hinkley. He was an amazing prophet and lead the church well. Not to mention him and his wife were the cutest couple I have ever seen. It is comforting to know that he has been reunited with his sweet wife. We will miss him!

Date Night!
Since the new semester started we have both been very busy and have not been able to spend that much time with each other. On, Saturday night we were able to go on a date. We started the night at Cafe Rio eating sweet pork salads. If you ask me you just can't go wrong with Cafe Rio, not to mention we had a FREE MEAL!
After dinner we went to our new movie theater. It is about a mile away from our house and it is a fairly new theater that only charges $5.50 for a movie. Since we there have been so many movies that we wanted to see we decided to be crazy and go to a double header. So we went to 27 Dresses at 7:00; it was way good! Then we went to The Bucket List at 9:35; it was pretty good!
So we went to dinner and two movies all for $31.00, that is a sweet deal if you ask me. All in all it was a great night and I love spending time with my husband! Tonight we also booked a trip to Mesquite/Las Vegas for spring break. So we will be counting down the days until it comes:)

IT IS ABOUT TIME!!!
I will go ahead and admit that I am the worst blogger, but I am sure that Cory would disagree. The problem is that I spend A LOT of time looking at other peoples blogs but never take the time to update my own. Well it has been two months since I have updated my blog and a lot has gone on.
We celebrate our first anniversary. We went to The Roof for a romantic dinner, then headed to the movie Dan in Real Life. Then Cory suprised me with a hotel at the Little America in the morning we went and ate brunch at the Grand America Hotel. It was an awesome first year of marriage.
We had Thanksgiving at Cory's parents house in Vernal. It was nice to be with the WHOLE family and hang out. We ate a lot of food and I made myself really sick. I also had a Thanksgiving feast with my kindergartners. They made indian hats, vests, necklaces, and place mats. It was really fun and the kids are getting way smart!!
This Christmas Break has been awesome. We both had two weeks off of work and got to spend a lot of time with each other. I was looking through our pictures that we took over the break and realized that we did not take one picture of us together! I might set up some fake pictures of us opening presents :) I gave Cory a Bears Jersey that he absolutely loves and Cory suprised me with a new video camera, that I love. I asked for one but was completely convinced that it wouldn't be happening this year.
For New Year's Eve we spent the night at the Little America Hotel with Cory's parents. We went out to dinner and then Cory and his dad went to the gas station to buy us drinks. Our new years resolution for 2007 was to not drink pop! WE DID IT!! I chose to break our resolution with the Wild Cherry Pepsi and Cory chose Code Red Mountain Dew (don't ask me why!).
All in all the holidays of 2007 were awesome. We are so blessed to have our families that we love with all our hearts, our jobs, and our education. Who knows what 2008 will bring!?!?! There are a few things that we do know. . . Cory will graduate from the U of U and do a summer internship somewhere, I will finish my first year of teaching, we will move to graduate school, and who knows maybe we will have a new addition!! That is not an announcement by the way;)
Well I know this was a boring post with no pictures but I will do better.

Ode to Twilight
Like many of the people in this world I love the Twilight Series and have read all of them. As you know, Twilight takes place in Forks, Seattle. While we were in Seattle we drove 400 miles to go see Forks. It was really fun and made the book come alive. I love the books and can't wait for the next one.

Sleepless in Seattle!!
When Cory and I got married we decided that we were going to save our change and have it be our travel fund. After about 10 months of saving we counted our change and had $940!!! Can you believe it?!?! So we went to Seattle for Fall Break. It was awesome and I loved spending every minute of every day with my sweet husband. I fall more and more in love with him with each passing day. He is AMAZING!! Anyway we had a ton of fun and can't wait until our travel fund grows again and we can go somewhere else.
