Happy Turkey Day

For Thanksgiving we stayed in New Mexico, but we were very excited to have Cory's older brother, Stevie, come to visit. I was even more excited when he said he wanted to do most of the cooking! It was just the three of us and little Jordyn but we had a good time and ate a lot!

Here are some things I am grateful for this Thanksgiving
My new little family
Gospel
Motherhood
The fact that I have all the necessities in life: food, shelter, etc.
Friends
Education
Loving Parents
Siblings that have become my best friends
My In-Laws
Health

Our family realizes how blessed we are and know that it comes from Heavenly Father. We know that if we continue to strive to live like him we will be blessed with the things that truly matter in this world. Happy Thanksgiving!!

Jordyn and Uncle Stevie...right before she spit up on him!
Our Thanksgiving Feast

Jordyn is one month old today! Happy Birthday Jordyn. We love you and are so grateful for your sweet spirit!

I can't go without mentioning that we go home in 20 days!!! I CAN'T WAIT:)

Cute Pictures of Jordyn

A lady in the ward came and took Jordyn's pictures. Before she came I thought I would try my hand at photography. I think I actually got some good shots. Jordyn will be a month old this coming week; I can't believe how fast time has gone. She truly brings us so much joy.

I wanted to get her better situated in this picture and take more but she peed right when I snapped this shot!

We are Thankful for Grandmas and Grandpas

Even though we don't live very close to our families, we have been very blessed to have both sets of Grandparents come and meet our new addition. Grandma Olsen came the day after Jordyn was born and spent a week with us. Grandpa Olsen joined us later in the week. We enjoyed their company; eating good home cooked meals by my sweet mom, playing games, and holding and kissing Jordyn. Grandma and Grandpa Judd also were able to come and spend a week with us. Jordyn loved staring up at Grandpa Judd and stayed pretty content in his lap. The weather has been nice enough that we were able to take Jordyn in her stroller and walk around Old Town. Jordyn loves her car seat and stroller and she loves to sleep in them!

We have enjoyed all the company and we can't wait to come home for Christmas in four weeks. It is going to be such a fun holiday season, spending tons of time with our families. Jordyn is excited to spend time with her grandparents, and meet her aunts and uncles. But most of all she is excited to meet all of her fun cousins!

So Big... So Fast

Why oh why does she have to grow so fast? She is almost three weeks old and she has grown so much. Her little cheeks are getting a little chubbier, but she still has major bird legs! Jordyn is such a good baby and hardly ever cries. When she does cry though she has a raspy little shriek that will break your heart. She has been smiling a lot when she falls asleep and we are happy to find that she definitely got mom and dad's dimple on the right side and we think there could be one on the left too! We love you sweet Jordyn.

Seriously mom?! Another picture of me sleeping!

These last two pictures are my favorite of her so far!

Friday Family Fun

When Cory got home from work on Friday we decided we wanted to watch a movie. So we blew up our air mattress, got in our comfy jammies, made some yummy apple crisp, put Jordyn in the middle of us, and enjoyed our new little family. This just might have to become a tradition of Friday Family Fun!

A cute picture of daddy and Jordyn!

Sweet Dreams Little One

I could watch Jordyn sleep for hours. She is so cute and always holds her hands up to her face. She loves to sleep on her side and has occasionally maneuvered her body all the way on to her tummy. What can we say she is quite advanced for being one week old! Cory picked out her pj's and they are so cute on her.

One of my favorite parts of the day is when her and I get to cuddle and take a nap together on the couch. The other day I woke up and our noses were touching. I absolutely love being her mom even though it has been more of an adjustment than I thought it would be, I wouldn't trade it for anything in this world. She truly is sent from heaven.

I could hold her and kiss her ALL day long! And sometimes that is exactly what I do.

Bath Time

Jordyn definitely does not take after her mommy in the fact that she HATES bath time. She just cries and cries. To make matters worse her bottom lip quivers constantly, which is enough to break my heart.
