Since Jordyn was born I have done something that I NEVER said I would do as a mother.
1. Let her sleep in our bed
2. Let her sleep in my arms for naps.
Well Jordyn and I have been working on breaking #2 for the past couple days. It has been quite the battle and we have learned that our little girl is VERY stubborn.
Today Jordyn slept in her pack 'n' play for 1 1/2 hours. This is definetly a reason to celebrate. HOORAY FOR JORDYN!!
P.S. I will work on #1 when #2 has been resolved. Any suggestions?!?!

I ALWAYS hold Ava when she naps! Is that bad?
She is so cute--I don't think I would be able to put her down either! Good luck! Just remember that although it seems like such a huge obnoxious thing right now, in a month or so (or maybe less) it will all be over and then you will think back to this crazy time with a new baby trying to sleep in her darn pack n play! Enjoy every minute it goes so fast!
Hey Gen, I noticed that you said you were coming back to Utah for the holidays. I would love to get together with you and whoever else maybe for lunch or something. I'm dying to meet Jordyn and catch up. I know it will be kind of crazy, but if you have a free day give me a call and we'll gather up some of the girls and go out!
Do you swaddle her? That helps my kids to feel like they're still being held. I do it until they can roll over. We do it super tight with both arms down. You can give that a try if you haven't tried it yet. It works wonders for me.
I don't think it's bad to let her sleep with you. In fact, I've read tons of research that supports it! But what do I know? I'm not a mom.
And I'm with Sam. Let's have a get together when you're in town. Let's try to do it after Christmas if possible. Love you and love your baby! She's beautiful!
Hey gen I threw out the rule book when I had faith she always slept in our bed and I spoiled her forever I just think enjoy it. the beginning stages don't last very long and although you don't think you will be able to break them from habits as they grow older they will. I have always thought that the less stressed I am about what people say I should do the more I enjoy being a mom!
